About My Challenge
525,000 men take their own lives every year. 10,000 every week. 1,400 every single day.
That is why this matters so much to me.
As many of you know, I’m big on mental health and the power of showing up for yourself and for the people around you.
Right now I’m deep in training for an Ironman, and at the same time I’ve committed to doing 3,214 push-ups in 23 days as part of The Push-Up Challenge, alongside @ydaustralia and in support of @headspace_aus.
This is personal. I’ve had mates go through dark times. I’ve had my own. Mental health isn’t always visible, and too often people fight those battles in silence.
Pushing your body is one thing. But pushing through mental struggles is another. For some, just getting through today can feel harder than any Ironman.
Every push-up I do is for them. It’s a small way of saying, we see you, and you are not alone.
Progress is built by showing up even when it’s hard. And every single one of us is capable of that.
If this resonates with you, I’d love your support. A donation of any size can help fund critical mental health services through Headspace and give someone the lifeline they need.
Let’s keep pushing for better. Together.
Happy Men’s Mental Health Month. Let’s make this count.
