Globally we lose 600,000 men a year to suicide. That’s 50,000 a month … 12,500 a week … 1,800 a day … 75 an hour … over 1 a minute …
June is Mens mental health awareness month. Its important to shine a light on the silent struggles too many men face and the stigma that keeps them quiet.
3,214 lives were lost to suicide in Australia in 2023 with 75% of these deaths being male. Suicide is also the leading cause of death for Australians aged 15 to 44.
All of this is why I am once again participating in the push up challenge this year with 3,214 push ups from June 4 to June 26, highlighting the importance of mental health awareness and support.
If you can spare whatever amount possible, I would greatly appreciate a donation to help lifeline who are a non-for-profit organization dedicated to providing mental health support and suicide prevention services through 24/7 crisis support via phone, face-to-face counselling, financial counselling, and support groups.

Your support enables us to offer affordable counselling (15yrs+), free financial counselling, support groups, aged care visitor programs, and community training from Kirribilli to Mosman and across the Northern Beaches.
In 2025, we want to reach more people in crisis, expand our local services, and ensure that no one in our community faces their darkest moments alone. Every push-up, every conversation, and every dollar raised helps us be there when it matters most.
