About Our Challenge
Join Merewether High School’s Push-Up Challenge – June 4–26, 2025!
This June, our students at Merewether High School will be taking part in The Push-Up Challenge from June 4 to June 26, 2025, to raise awareness for mental health and promote wellbeing throughout our school and wider community.
We’re inviting everyone to join our team and show your dedication and support for this important cause. Whether you're a student, teacher, parent, or community member, your participation sends a powerful message — that we care.
While our focus is on awareness and participation, we’ve kept the fundraising tab open for those who would like to support financially. All donations will go directly to Lifeline Newcastle and Hunter NSW, helping to provide critical mental health support services in our region.
You don’t have to complete all the push-ups to be part of this – you can adapt the exercises to suit your needs, or choose a movement that works for you. This is about coming together as a community, supporting one another, and showing that mental health matters.

Supporting Lifeline Newcastle & Hunter NSW
Funds raised will enable Lifeline Hunter to continue providing their critical 24/7 crisis support and suicide prevention services, answer more help seeker contacts, and ensure any person in Australia who needs support knows where and how to find it.
