Spiking Stigma, One Push-Up at a Time
At Brisbane Spikers Volleyball Club, we’re more than just a team—we’re a community. That’s why we’re taking on the Push-Up Challenge to raise awareness for mental health and show our support for those facing tough times.
Mental health affects players, coaches, families, and friends both on and off the court. Through every push-up, we’re starting conversations, building resilience, and showing that it’s okay to not be okay. Together, we’re pushing for change, supporting each other, and standing up for mental health—one rep at a time.
Supporting headspace National
headspace is Australia’s National Youth Mental Health Foundation, providing early intervention mental health services to 12-25 year olds.
Each year, headspace helps thousands of young people access vital support through our headspace centres in over 157 communities across Australia, our online and phone counselling services, our vocational services, and our presence in schools.
The support headspace receives from the community helps us achieve our vision - that all young Australians are supported to be mentally healthy and engaged in their communities.
