Mr Howland takes on Mental Health
I'm completing 3,214 push-ups in 23 days to raise awareness and funds for mental health in Australia.
As a Primary School teacher I am always looking to find ways to support the youth and foster positive relationships between students. In a world where social media is taking over it is more important than ever to support students mental health!
I always wanted to become a teacher to help the next generation of learners and this is an amazing way to do so! I am hoping to encourage the students to get active and feel confident in having open conversations about their mental health. The more open conversations we can have surrounding mental health the less lives we will lose as a result of suicide, it all starts from the ground up!
Partnering physical health with mental health is the perfect way to illustrate the challenges faced by so many young Australians every single day. Please consider donating or encouraging your children/loved ones to join in with some push ups!
You can show your support by making a tax-deductible donation to my page.
Every dollar helps #pushforbetter mental health outcomes in Australia by funding much-needed mental health services and initiatives.
Supporting headspace Canberra

headspace is Australia’s National Youth Mental Health Foundation, providing early intervention mental health services to 12-25 year olds.
Each year, headspace helps thousands of young people access vital support through our headspace centres in over 157 communities across Australia, our online and phone counselling services, our vocational services, and our presence in schools.
The support headspace receives from the community helps us achieve our vision - that all young Australians are supported to be mentally healthy and engaged in their communities.
