Get fit, have fun and push for better mental health.

3,249 push-ups

 5-28 June

The Push-Up Challenge is a free mental health and fitness event focused on pushing for better mental health for all Australians.

Participants complete 3,249 push-ups over 24 days, representing the 3,249 lives lost to suicide in Australia in 2022.

How it works

GET DAILY TARGETS AND FACTS

We'll give you daily push-up targets that relate to an important Mental Health Fact. You can track your daily progress and check out the facts on the app.

GO SOLO OR JOIN A TEAM

Sign up solo or get a crew together. Invite your mates, work, school, gym or sports club. The more the merrier. Super recruiters can even create a Community.

SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE

You don't have to be a push-up pro to participate. You're welcome to substitute push-ups with sit-ups, squats or tailored exercises and you can aim for half the target.

Fundraise to make a difference

Make a difference to mental health services across Australia by choosing to fundraise for our beneficiaries - Lifeline, headspace or The Push for Better Foundation.

Fundraising is optional but it's a great way to show support and get your family and friends involved in the push for better mental health.

Level up your physical and mental health

Our mission is to push for better health and wellbeing for everyone. Research shows that exercise can improve our mood and physical health, and it’s great to see our push-up community felt the same in 2023.
99% of participants said they felt fitter and stronger after completing The Push-Up Challenge.
97% also said their mood was improved.

Are you ready?

"It’s not just a good cause, but good for your health. It's your daily dose of exercise, and a good conversation-starter."
