Gyms

Get your gym buddies together and be part of the push for better mental health.

Come together for a cause

Sign your gym crew up for Australia's largest mental health and fitness event.

The Push-Up Challenge is a unique and fun way for gyms of all sizes to encourage better mental health and wellbeing through connection, physical activity and education.

You know that prioritising your physical health is important, and we believe that focusing on mental health and wellness is just as critical. Joining The Push-Up Challenge will be one of the best things you can do this year.

"Research has shown exercise to be as effective as an antidepressant for mild-to-moderate depression."

The challenge

You and your gym crew will be challenged to complete 3,144 push-ups over 23 days in June as we put a spotlight on the number of lives lost to suicide in 2021.

We know - that's a lot of push-ups. But don't sweat, any exercise goes, plus you can aim for half of the push-up target instead.

Hannah's story

“The Push-up Challenge has given me such a positive way to focus my grief and is now something I look forward to doing every year. I am extremely grateful for what the challenge has done for me and my family, and I can’t wait to smash it out of the park in 2023. I plan to do this challenge every year until I can’t physically do it anymore. And even if it just saves one person, then it will be worth it.”
